Shubhalakshmi is an ISO-9000-1: 2008 company and has strong Quality and Process Control management system in place to ensure customer satisfaction. Moreover, we have introduced suggestion scheme, '5S' systems and other welfare scheme to ensure increased employees participations. Company also contributes to society by implementing various schemes under corporate social responsibilities (CSR).

Our heritage

Founded as a family enterprise by Mumbai and Surat based Agarwal family, Shubhalakshmi Group began trading in fabrics and yarns in 1979 as partnership firm. The Group started its first manufacturing facility for crimp yarn in Daman, Union Territory, India in the year 1989 followed by a manufacturing plant of POY with a total project cost of Rs. 37.6 Crores in February, 2005 under the name of Shubhlaxmi Petrochemicals, a partnership firm. The partnership was then converted into Public Limited Company in September, 2005 in the name of Shubhalakshmi Polyesters Limited ("SPL"). All the Manufacturing Units of the Group were merged into Shubhalakshmi Polyesters Limited in 2006.

The Agarwal family identified a trend that has continued increasing industrial demand for man-made yarns. Currently, SPL has 3 manufacturing facilities located at Daman, Silvassa and Dahej for manufacturing PET Chips, POY, FDY, Mono filament yarn and a variety of texturised yarns.

Shubhalakshmi group has been aggressive in pursuing backward integration from time to time. In financial year 2012-13, the company commissioned its Continuous Polycondensation Plant (CPP) with an annual capacity of 2,20,000 metric tonnes of PET Chips and POY / FDY. Being the fastest growing company, SPL has already started commissioning it's new FDY plant at Dahej with latest technology from Oerlikon - Barmag.

New FDY technology is with the latest 32 Ends wings winders from Oerlikon - Barmag for low shrinkage FDY, which is expected to be commissioned in June 2016. As a forward integration, DTY machines have also been installed at Dahej plant.

Moreover, as its diversification plans, work on PSF line is already in progress and is expected to be commissioned towards the end of 2016 with technology and equipment from Oerlikon - Neumag. After the commissioning of above project, Shubhalakshmi's product rage will expand and total range shall be as under:

One of our group Company has also expanded and has started it's first machine of DTY at Dahej in March 2016 and it's initial plan is to put 40 DTY machines by September 2016. Other group companies produce dye intermediates and calcium carbonate. From FY 2010 to FY 2015, the turnover of the Company has grown from Rs.321 Crores to Rs. 2246.72 Crores.
